A Sunset by the Jhelum

EXIF: 18.0 mm; 1/125s; f/6.3; ISO 100

This was shot during our trip last summer to the Paradise on Earth (oh the cliché!)- Kashmir. We had stayed at a guest house in Rajbagh and the Jhelum flowed close by. We would often go on long walks in the mornings or evenings. I shot this on one such evening from the Abdullah Bridge. We had just met a native Kashmiri (a Pandit) who somehow got talking to us, and spoke at length about various issues and problems they faced. As we bid him goodbye with good wishes and turned to go back, I realised the sunset had just taken place. Disappointed to have missed it, I lingered around and that is when the rays of the setting Sun began playing with the clouds. And then such patterns unfolded.
